We’re just about at the finish line! On closing day, your attorney will attend the closing on your behalf, ensuring everything goes smoothly. Afterward, they'll email both of us a copy of the HUD/settlement statement, which will provide a detailed breakdown of the closing costs.
Your attorney will take care of paying off the remaining balance of your loan using the proceeds from the sale. If there are any additional funds left after your loan has been fully paid off, your attorney will arrange for those to be wire transferred to you, or you can visit their office to pick up your closing check.
